What can I put in my skip?
You can include building waste, unupholstered furniture, metal, wood and plastics. Additional charges may apply for mattresses, carpets and excessive black bin bags of general waste, some electrical items and upholstered furniture. Refer to our information on what can go in your skip. If you’re disposing of hazardous waste, we have a dedicated service for this so please contact us to make arrangements.
Ideally, the skip should be situated on private property such as a driveway or off the road. If you can’t place the skip on private property or there isn’t enough room for the skip lorry, then you have the option of placing the skip on the road or a grass verge outside the property and we will organise the correct permit on your behalf.
How long can I keep my skip?
The usual hire period is two weeks for our skips, should the hire period need to be extended for your project, a weekly rental fee may be applied.
We will aim to collect it from you on a day that is suitable for you, within your hire period. If you know you need the skip removed on a certain day, make sure you tell us when you order the skip.
